I wish I could've ridden one! But the Tiger broke down because the guy who owns it doesn't take care of it. He's got, like, $500,000 or more worth of equipment and he stores it outside and lets it get rusty!! If I owned that I'd be playing with it all day! Take to the fields!! :p

I live in fear that roving bands of Swedes are going to break into my house, rape me, and steal my TV for crack.

Geir Zahl is a Pokemon Master!

Oops, nope, I didn't do that either; I was too busy failing at life.

I don't recognize the other one, a Jadgpanzer?...

The Tiger is one of the four that came out of Yugoslavia after the movie "Kelly's Hero's" was filmed. The running gear is from a late model Russian T-34. The "StuG" is the interesting one. The superstructure just doesn't quite look right and the running gear is from the "Kanonenjagdpanzer" from the post war West German Army (circa 1955).

Somethimes I still wonder how they managed to lose that war, with all their advanded technology...if only they'd left Mother Russia alone...

Do you do re-acting? I'm just getting into the US Army Nurse Corps impression myself.... :)

Yeah...the invasion of Russia what finally broke the German's back. However...they MIGHT have been able to conquer Russia if they had invaded in early spring of '41, when the ground was just beginning to thaw, then they would have had most of spring, ALL of summer, AND fall to make it to Moscow. More than enough time...because from the day they invaded (June 22, 1941) to the time they reached the outskirts of Moscow, which was less than 5 months later, they had only half the summer and a shortened fall to take the whole country. This was completely insane, giving the size of the country they were up against....plus, they had severely underestimated the Russian's ability to mobilize quickly and effectively. At first they couldnt of course, because the Germans were moving up so quickly. However, once they reached Moscow and encountered the first line of actual "organized resistance" their lines were slowed considerably. Another thing that caused the advance to slow, was the exhaustion and the cold that was already rapidly setting in as the brutal Russian winter approached. If they had been given winter clothes and better armor and air support to strengthen the lines, they could have taken Moscow by New Years day of 1942. I strongly believe this, because the Russian moral was at rock bottom, and there werent that many that were confident they could beat the German Army with all the tanks and planes they had. Anyways...there were many things wrong with Operation Barbarossa, and it ultimately sunk Germany down into the depths of defeat. A very sad ending for such a powerful and proud country, but when a country is being led by idiots and incompetents...the results are most often devastating.

I WISH I DID REENACTING!!!! That has been something ive been dying to do for SOOOOO long. To be in a WW2 reenactment would be my lifelong dream! I really wish i could be...sadly they dont have any around here :C

Where are you at?

I never heard about them until 4 years ago! If you search online for re-enactments or events you might find something within a reasonable distance...
